1. Why was I banned?

There could be many reasons your account was closed. If you did not receive notification of your violation via e-mail please create a support ticket and the violation will be explained to you.  Please note that if your account was closed for the use of 3^rd party software (botting) or participating in RMT (gold buying/selling) the evidence for the account closure was gathered over several weeks. It may be completely unrelated to what your character was doing right when your account was closed.

2. … but I wasn’t botting, buying Kinah or spamming advertisements! I’m innocent!

Any action that modifies the client or automates the same way a bot does could potentially flag an account as a violator. We do not use one specific instance to “flag” an account for botting or RMT. We use many instances to strengthen our conclusions. Please understand that it is not what “you” have done on your account, but what the account has done. If your account is shared, purchased, borrowed, or power leveled, it could be the actions of anyone who’s ever used the account.  

3. I’m aware of all of the above, but I have never done any of it. Who do I contact?

To request a review, please create a support ticket.

We are taking a very firm stance on this issue and do have sophisticated processes and procedures in place that help us keep unwarranted banning to a minimum. If you believe you’ve been wrongfully banned, you can email us at support@ncsoft.com, and we will review your account. Our goal is to ensure our legitimate players are having the best game experience possible. Please note that you don’t need to submit multiple tickets, as we will review a specific case only once. We obviously take these violations seriously, but also want to make sure that legitimate players aren’t banned unnecessarily.

it will shut them up for a bit,  till the first glitch or they see a bot, then they will QQ there slacking and it doesnt work, and itll begin again xD  lmao

Make no mistake, the bots will be back instantly.  Just hopefully the ban hammer made it expensive for them, perhaps so much so that a couple of the gold vendors drop out.  The bigger ones will still be around, with their stolen/hacked accounts.  Though I suspect they will be a lot less common now... hopefully to the point that you get the sense that the world is populated with people and not bots.

We rifted this weekend, and of the 85 or so kills I got, 75 or so were bots. :(  Looking forward to seeing a red diamond on the map and not instantly crying, "bot ahead".

Does the banning affect the botters/gold farmers auctions? If not, can it be made so that once banned, all auctions are pulled as well as kinah and items deleted from the players characters/warehouse/storage?

As of right now, on Kaisinel, there are hundred of blue and gold weapons/armor listed. A good 90% of those auctions are listed by well known botters/gold sellers. I say, in the name of fairness, that the accounts banned should have all of their listings pulled.

On another note, does this ban affect forum accounts too? :3  Last thing we need are the people who were banned coming on here pleading innocence.

I'm sure there will be. Thing people lack is patience. I'm glad they took weeks to collect info rather than running around on a crazy witch hunt banning people. I'm pretty sure it'll be kept on top of, though as said by Asmo i think it was, people are gonna still freak out when they see one. lol

Nope didn't ban those without accounts =P.  My alt account can still post.

BTW what exactly does QQ mean?  and finally some feedback from NCSoft, they must have read my post this morning. 

QQ is the internationally known ascii immage for eyes that are welling up with tears.  Like this ())___(CRAYOLA)___))>  is an ascii crayon!

 so when will you do these checks now? i'm hoping every week =) you made me happy yes yes...but you do relize bots are being made righ tnow new ones X_X....i hope you get those soon before more spawn.
