As everyone already knows Aion has issues with the Crysystem.DLL. I came up with a fix that has worked for 80%+ people, it was posted in the news section but i since decided to make my own thread so i could keep the links on one page instead of it being spread out over 16 pages.
After you have downloaded my DLL i modified save it to your desktop or somewhere you won't forget about. Browse to your Program Files/NcSoft/Aion/Bin32 in that folder will be the Crysystem.DLL take that and save it in a separate location then overwrite the DLL with mine.
This is more or less a workaround. Although this has fixed it for several people. A lot still crash. So, if it works for you great. If not worst that can happen is you still crash.Page 10 last post has a list of tweaks quite a few work pretty well.
Original DLL Fix - Only 1 mod Done

CrySystem-TWS - 2 Mods done Actually works a bit better then original.

If you want to see how much Virtual Memory Aion uses you can download a program called Process Explorer. Link below.
Process Explorer
To see how much it's using open process explorer, scroll down to Aion.Bin click on that a new window will open you then click on the Performance Graph Tab over on the left is "Private Bytes" that is the amount of Virtual Memory that Aion.Bin uses.
In the Event that the DLL does not work PM me a List of Installed Programs on your computer along with your computer Specs from the Motherboard all the way to what memory you have installed and what OS you use. This only works on 64 Bit at the moment. If you really want to help that is the best way so i can figure out what all you have in common as to why it still crashes.
I am in the process of compiling a list of known programs that interfere with CrySystem.DLL. The more info i have the quicker i can come up with a more concrete solution for you.
If you have any questions just ask i'll be more then happy to help.
Last thing, if it still crashes don't go EMO on me <3
for those of you who think it's BS look here ---> Crysystem.dll still got you down? Let's find a fix for it!
I can care less if you try it or not. You want to Wait on NC Soft then wait but don't QQ about it in this thread.
For those of you on Vista m$ released a hotfix for the virtual memory issues. Some of you already prolly have this update installed but in the case you don't here is the link directly from M$.
Vista KB940105 x64
Vista KB940105 x32
Latest DirectX from M$.
DirectX End User Web Installer August 2009
Quoted off AIONSource.. Thought I posted it up here so players who don't read it can get the fix.

Using Vista Home Basic (easy migration to Win7 I hope) 32 bit-
I read a few...skimmed a lot of the entries on Aionsource.com and tried to download the Vista patch (not applicable) and the latest DX (that did work)
But the forum seemed quite clear this was for 64bit users only... was there a 32bit fix that I missed?
i think the biggest reason that people run into issues it their OS. 32 bit Operating systems have a physical limit of 3096 mb of physical memory. if your OS uses 1.8 gb, then you only have 1.2 gb for other stuff. Virtual memory dosent matter, as the system goes off of physical memory installed. on the other hand, another limiting factor for physical memory is the OS. Windows vista basic 32 and 64 bit versions only allow a maximum of 2gb of RAM to be utilized, despite whats installed. Windows vista home premium 32 and 64 bit versions only allow a maximum of 4 GB installed, but will only recognise and utilize 3 GB. windows vista ultimate 32 bit has again, the 4 GB limit because of the x86 platform limitations. Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit version has no RAM limitations except for your hardware caps. You will see very few people who are complaining about the Crysystem.dll memory overrun error that are running 64 bit versions of vista ultimate. "memory leak" was a bandaid laymans term applied to a complex issue that is occuring because of generally inferior hardware. I have had ZERO problems, even during the closed and open betas, i could sucessfully launch the game EVERY time, and have never had a crash. I can post my comp specs if you want them. and my setup for other stuff as well.

Aion would crash 1.5 ~ 1.8 GBs every time.
I had cancelled and uninstalled the other night out of a fit of disappointment rage. Ill reinstall, add fix, defrag, benchmark, and see if I notice any difference during mass PVP. This is the main reason why I had cancelled. Wish I had seen this before I had cancelled and uninstalled. :) I have 64bit Vista Ultimate so *fingers crossed*. Will post results ASAP.
Ninas thats what the Fix is for.. O.o It will allow CryEngine.dll to handle more than 2GB of memory without crashing. However its a 64bit fix..
You only have 4 Gigs of RAM installed. Vista ultimate 64 bit only takes about 1.5 gb of RAM on my laptop, and i have next to nothing else running when i play Aion. What else is running when Aion is running, this includes background stuff, stuff listed in the system tray, Invisible stuff, and so on. I have 8 GB of RAM installed and usable on my laptop, and crysystem.dll has gone way above 2 GB hard memory and not crashed. I would assume that that 1.8 gb that it crashes/d at is more than what PHYSICALLY available due to other things running. Get Process explorer from sysinternals, and you can see whats using what, and when, you can even make logs that track what uses how much to look back at later. My system specs are much lower than yours, but i pad for a custom gaming laptop.
Asus M70VM-C1 Custom desktop replacement laptop
Mobo : Asus M70 /w intel GMA 45 chipset
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo t9400, stock clock @ 2.53, OCd to 2.63
GPU: discrete custom gfx card from asus, using the 9600m GS chip, running on an Nvidia stepping program, so slightly overclocked when needed
RAM: 8 GB(2x4GB) 800mhz DDR2( clocked safely to 899 mhz) ( i believe its corsair, but Asus uses good RAM anyways, and its been a good performer so far)
Since im playing on a laptop, i have a built in 17 inch LED LCD display, that has a native resolution of 1920x1200, so thats what i play the game at.
With all settings on the highest, and bloom 3, i still get 40+ FPS. It might also scare you to know i bought this laptop over a year ago. so how is it that my laptop isnt crashing when you high end desktop is? again, i believe it comes down to how much RAM is available. IF the game request more than whats available, the SYSTEM will shut it down, causing a "crash." How much of your RAM is in use when the computer is idle at the desktop? thats my question.

Of course anyone who uses this fix sets themselves up for banning because you have changed a game file.
I'm not saying it right, after all it seems that Aion players have come up with more solutions than NCSoft for their own game, I'm just pointing out what is likely to occur if you apply this "fix".
Do these crashes also Freeze the computer? My comp freezes up and has to be restarted in fortress sieges. I get no lag at all this game plays flawless until I do fort raids. I get no freezes in any other game.
What I have done to try and fix the problem.
All drivers have been reinstalled and updated correctly.
I have repaired Aion 3 times now hoping a file was missing.
Defragged
Turned all settings to minimum.
My machine when fully loaded has roughly 800~900MBs used. I don't have a bunch of garbage running in the background and have 34 processes running when fully loaded (only system critical processes are running). That's a lot less then the average Vista user. I defrag multiple times a week using "Perfect Disk 2008". My harddrive has over 50% free space. At the time Aion crashes, I am only using roughly 3GBs of memory. Surely having a entire free gigabyte of RAM isn't the cause of Aion's crash? I'm not hitting my maximum available RAM if that's what your thinking.
Out of the a good handful of recent PC releases, Aion is the only one that has issues. Maybe the other games don't hit 1.5~1.8GBs of RAM, I have never payed attention because 4GBs is enough, even for AION. I run max resolution (1680x1050 Samsung SyncMaster 2233rz 120hz), driver settings (AAx16, AFx16, Supersampling, High Quality), and in-game settings for ALL games. Also Aion's recommended specs for RAM calls for 4GBs. Other then mass pvp, Aion runs beautifully but as you can see in my player profile (3000+ kills at lvl 38) I prefer PVP over PVE so this is a game breaker for me.
Vista SP2 http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/servicecfg.htm I have applied this. All microsoft updates installed.
Vista Tweaks http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/tweak-vista-for-maximum-gaming-performance-533632 I have followed this guide.
Now if they consider this attempt at fixing their game a bannable offence, then so be it. I have already cancelled my account and I'll play till my game time expires or banned for using this "fix". Either way, I have a strong felling that this will go unchecked for along time to come.
If anyone technical has any ideas, please share.
I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I have 6 gigs of ram and Ati 4870 Video card. Since the patch before last. I have started crashing at least 5 times a night. I have tried changing my video settings, checked my ram usage. I cant seem to find what the problem is. I have sent a ticket in on it several times and yet to get a real response. Its very frustrating.
I play conan, eq2, and several other games maxed out and no problems. I am concerned that its a client issue and not a hardware issue. Anyway if anyone has any advise I am listening.
Well I spent some time typing up a reply and hit submit......
"SERVER ERROR 500"
F**k IN GAME, OUT OF GAME IT DONT MATTER, THIS WHOLE THING IS F'ED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok anyways
