Eye on Community 10/22/2010
What a week! I am not even sure where to start. We kicked off this week with the release of Aion Exchange™. Have you ever wanted to be able to track Aion® auction trends, check your auctions on your smart phone, or review your character's stats or items on the go? Check out Aion Exchange!
Have you also heard that you can now customize your character's weapons through our Aion store with new weapon skins? Between an Aether Blade, a Cataclysm's Jaws, or a Mellin's Treat, there is something for everyone. Each of these weapon skins can be used to remodel an item, changing its look but not its stats. Take a look at the selection in the NCSOFT Store.
Finally, the When Worlds Collide Contest went live yesterday. Until November 9, 2010, you have an excellent chance to win epic prizes by creating a slick machinima video portraying the world of Aion. Head on over to the contest page for directions on how to enter and to see a full list of all the cool prizes you could win. Action!
Topic of the Week
Since the release of Aion®: Assault on Balaurea™, many of you have contacted us with questions and feedback about guard patrols in Inggison and Gelkmaros.
Some players have expressed a concern that these guards make it difficult to attack other players' characters in the area since they have an insistent habit of interfering. This is an intended effect. Guard patrols are designed to protect players' characters, especially those of you who are in your mid-50s (in levels, of course, not age!). The guards have been positioned to help you with character progression and quests, and they have been placed around areas where most of Balaurea's key quest lines are located. If players are not able to finish these quest lines due to grieving by members of a stronger faction, the questing players will have a hard time reaching level 55, where their characters are most competitive and can enjoy the richest endgame content. We want to promote server balance in any way we can, and providing additional security for progressing players is a sound way to do so.
Do you want the Aion team to answer your question or discuss a topic of your choice? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your character name, server, and question!

Jei from Telemachus has a rocking video depicting his PvP battles in Balaurea and the Abyss. Enjoy!
In the Not Too Distant Future
While normally we'll write a little blurb about the submission, I think this one needs to be watched to be properly enjoyed. I'll warn you though, beware of the cake!
A Cleric's Story
Charia of Israphel tells us a moving story of the beginnings of a Cleric. Check out "Charia's Beginnings," and leave your feedback. Hopefully we'll see some more soon!
