Level 50? Check!

How fast players decide to level their characters is a very personal thing. Some prefer to take it slow, to log in once in a while, soak up the world, and read every storyline there is from beginning to end. Others rely on fervent research, practice, and teamwork to reach the highest level not only quickly, but first.

On October 7, 2009 at 11:32 p.m. BST (more), Drno and Almisaela were the first two players to reach level 50. Both are members of the known "For the Harmony" Legion. You read it right—the first two! They happened to both reach it at the exact same time!

Weekly Web Roundup 10.21.09

It's time for another installment of our Weekly Web Roundup! This week we're happy to showcase more positive reviews, a sneak peek of what to expect from NCSOFT Halloween events across the board, and circulating news about Aion soaring to the top of the NPD (PC Sales) chart.

To get things started, published an extremely positive review giving Aion an 8.7 out of a possible 10. "Aion is probably one of the most polished freshly-released MMOs I've ever seen—not surprising, given that it actually was released a year ago in Korean and China—but it does mean that the game is stable, fairly well balanced, and it contains plenty of content. It may not do an awful lot new, but what it does, it does very well." You can read the entire review here.

[East]Lumiel Extended Downtime and Maintenance 10/19

This message was posted 2:30 a.m. PDT 10/19.

We have been experiencing technical difficulties with North American server [East]Lumiel since 00.15 a.m. PDT 10/19. We have in our investigations managed to pinpoint the problem to server hardware that needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately replacing the affected parts will result in a short rollback on the server, causing activity during the final 30 minutes to one hour before the server's downtime to be lost.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has brought and are working hard to get Lumiel back up again. We estimate for logins to be possible again within 15 minutes of this posting.

Join the Hunt in the Harvest Revel!

During the fall harvest, from time immemorial, the people of Atreia have celebrated the bounty of the land. Years ago, the joy of the annual revels was troubled by an eclipse - a peculiar and magical eclipse that brought darkness to Asmodae and Elysea. Ever since, for days during Harvest Revel, the sky goes dark and the peoples of Atreia join the hunt.

Asmodians find soothing peace during the dark days of the Harvest Revel. They celebrate by racing after the Wild Kurthanir hunt leader during the Wild Hunt and cooking special traditional dishes.

Elyos endure the dark days because during them the dead of Elysea are restless. Undead creatures rise from the grave every few hours, pulled back into a semblance of life by the power of the eclipse. Elyos must join roving Dark Night bands to hunt and destroy the undead before they invade Elyos villages.
