Azphel Server Rollback

Greetings Daevas of Azphel,

Earlier today we began to receive reports that a small number of players on the Azphel server had received over 30 trillion Kinah as part of a reward glitch. Since that time, we've brought down the Azphel server and have been working diligently to identify how to restore economic stability. We've made the decision to rollback the Azphel server data to 6:00am CST this morning and will continue to monitor all servers for related anomalies.

It's important to understand that we saw the rollback as a last option and made every effort to avoid doing so. We're currently performing the rollback and anticipate the server will be back online sometime on Tuesday, January 5th. At that point, all character progression on Azphel will be restored to its state as of this morning.

Upcoming Double Experience Weekends

Greetings, Daevas!

We've heard your feedback that the experience curve can be steep in certain levels of Aion, and over the last couple of weeks, we've been evaluating how we want to address this issue to provide for smoother character progression. While we're committed to providing a permanent solution, our long-term plans require development time. As part of that process, we are implementing a temporary enhancement so that you can feel immediate benefits that we're excited to be rolling out this weekend.

The Solorius Festival - 2009-12-12

Hear ye! Hear ye! All of Atreia's inhabitants are invited to join in the Solorius Festival, a monumental celebration to honor the previous year's ascended Daevas and their service to humanity.

The Solorius Festival is not only one of the year's most anticipated events, but also one of the oldest. Its origin dates back to before the Cataclysm. It is a festival of communion, sharing, and appreciation. Wealth and status are set aside each year as families make diligent preparations in advance to honor the ascended. Many Atreians travel to a capital city to immerse themselves in the festivities.

Aion Reviewed and Scored by Gamervision set out earlier this week to enlighten the world with a new in-depth review of Aion graced with lush screenshots. The review describes Aion as a game "teeming with potential," noting also that the current game is "a wonderful foundation to what can absolutely, positively become one of the best MMORPGs on the market." As Gamervision's reviewer notes it's "simply full of forward-thinking ideas."

Among many features, Aion's character flight was highlighted as one of the largest draws to the game. The review points out that flying has existed in MMO games before, but it's the first time the reviewer see it made an "integral part of the core."

The final score Aion lands it with a 8.25/10 and a "Buy it!" recommendation. Pass this on, folks!
