Aion: Assault on Balaurea on Public Test Server

The NA Public Test Server (PTS) was brought down this past week to prepare for testing of Assault on Balaurea, the free upcoming Aion expansion often referred to as Aion 2.0.

The PTS database will be reset completely as a part of this, and all PTS characters and Legions will be removed. Keep in mind that the progression rates on the PTS have received a significant boost compared to the rates of our regular servers.

The PTS will reopen its majestic gates on August 18th 2010, with the new expansion ready for some testing action. Aion: Assault on Balaruea will be available across all servers September 7th 2010. …

Fight on the Right Side and Dash of the Daeva Rewards!

Greetings Daevas,

This Tuesday we announced that we needed to reschedule character transfers. Due to the change in the transfer process, we are awarding everyone the first set of rewards for the Fight on the Right Side incentive. Each player will be receiving five Suspicious Yellow Sacks.

Along with the rewards for Fight on the Right Side, we will also be awarding the remaining faction rewards for the Dash of the Daevas event. Both sides fought valiantly throughout the event, and as a result, we are awarding faction rewards to the runner-up faction for each portion of the event. The runner-up faction for each category will receive a matching number of …

Free Character Transfers Rescheduled

Greetings Daevas,

Following the recent Aion server merges, we wanted to offer a free character transfer service to give everyone a chance to play with friends located on different servers. One of our responsibilities is to provide balanced servers for you to play on. To work towards a more enjoyable play experience we've decided to suspend character transfers in order to re-evaluate our strategy for server balance. Once we've finalized our new strategy, we will again re-enable free server transfers, however with certain limitations to prevent an excessive amount of transfers that specifically contributed to server imbalance.

Dash of the Daevas, Winners Part I

"Business is goin' well, nyerk!"

Those were the words uttered by Ettanyerk, sponsor of the Dash of the Daevas event, when we approached him for the acquisition of a winners' list. He continued to tell us that his expectations for the contest were more than met, and that all of the prizes at stake had been won already. However, he nyerked, some of the larger achievements still linger.

Shugos are known for their not-so-modest negotiation skills, and after promising him dinner, wine and a lift to the Abyss, he agreed to divulge the full list of objectives.

Character Transfers on Hold

Greetings Daevas,

Due to technical complications occurring during the first execution of character transfers today, we have unfortunately found ourselves in a position where we need to further postpone the transfers until a solution is found. The issues did not appear in prior testing and have forced us to go back and perform careful investigations. We decided putting character transfers on hold would be a much more preferable option than having to face the risk of corrupting character information.
