Jefnyerk the Sad on [East] Zikel asks:

"Nyerk! Has anyone seen Dianyerk? Jefnyerk is sad Shugo! Nyerk nyerk."

Dear Jefnyerk,

Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate your love, Dianyerk, but we're counting on the Aion community to help you out. I'd recommend that you head to the capital cities and ask the Daeva residents for assistance.

Do you want to be the one asking the Question of the Week next time? Drop us an e-mail with your character name, server, and question at aion_community@ncsoft.com.

Nyerk.

Greetings Daevas,

Tahabata Vanquished!

Last Friday night February 12 11:42 p.m. CST, a North American group of players on [West]Ariel did what many before them had attempted but failed. They were the first to on a North American or European server to successfully pierce the thick scales of Tahabata Pyrelord, the ultimate boss monster of Dark Poeta. Player "Forgiven" from the Legion Flameborne was first to comment.

"Took us about a week and a half after equipping everyone with fire resist sets to down it, although [we] had multiple sub-5% wipes," said Forgiven.

It was certainly no easy feat, and Forgiven credits Sylvester Stallone for part of their accomplishment:

"Preparation was hard, we had a number of montages made during training, weekly Rocky movie marathons, and team building exercises designed to increase our trust in each other."

Game Update 3:30 a.m. PST, February 17, 2010

We are bringing the Aion servers down at 3:30 a.m. PST, February 17, 2010 (more) for maintenance.

During this downtime we will be applying a number of fixes to the game which you may find listed in the PowerWiki.

The update is estimated to take no longer than 3 hours.

We will regularly update Aion with new content, enhancements, and bug fixes through patches. Typically these will be done through a client patch which everyone will receive. However, Aion does support 3 languages, and there will be times when we will patch a specific language. To help make things less confusing we will now indicate the type of patch and the corresponding version number that you're receiving.

For example:
Client patches will look similar to this — [Client] 1.5.X.X
Language patches will look similar to this — [Language] 1.0.X.X

Thank you for your patience!

Aah, love is in the air!

Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching our earthly realms while the Festival of Truth reigns in Atreia. Heart hats decorate Aion's larger cities like occasional tulips embellishing a vast green field. Log into the game and claim yours if you haven't already, but keep in mind that you will only be able to get one per server.

On another note, surely you didn't miss our impending Double XP weekend?

What exciting things have been happening out there in the community this week?

Server Maintenance 3:30 a.m. PST, February 10, 2010

We are bringing the Aion servers down at 3:30 a.m. PST, February 10th, 2010 (more) for maintenance.

During the maintenance we will be applying a few server-side updates to the game during this downtime. The most notable change will be made to siege timers, following your feedback. All fortresses will now be vulnerable for 60 minutes rather than the previous 30 minutes. The only exception is the Divine Fortress' timer which will remain at 110 minutes.

We estimate the maintenance to take no longer than 3 hours.

Thank you for your patience!
