Happy Friday Daevas!

Welcome back to our weekly gaze at the community! The community is alive and kickin' as ever out there, and in the middle of it all, The Escapist decided to launch something it calls the "2010 March Mayhem." It's a head-to-head brawl between gaming companies where we're all thrown into a giant lion pit to fend for ourselves with nothing but a pot lid and butter knife. Head on over and show us your support!

Question of the Week

of Marchutan asks:

"My question is why can't Guards fly? Aren't they Daevas too?"

Just like other Daevas, the Archons and Guardians defending the fortresses and villages of Asmodae and Elysea have limitations on where and for how long they can take to the air. You can see some flying around Verteron Citadel and Altgard Fortress.

The More You MMO Series Debut

Greetings Daevas,

One of the guiding principles we have here at NCSOFT is that our customers come first. A major challenge that we face in the gaming industry today is the use and abuse of an evil known as real money trading (RMT). We're in the middle of a war, a war that we fight because of the adverse effects RMT can have on you, our loyal customers.

You see, RMT doesn't start and stop with a simple transaction. That's just the beginning. After that first transaction, the same companies that offer Kinah, power-leveling, and preleveled characters continue to do anything and everything they can to use the information that you have given to them to steal, spam, bot, and ultimately destroy your gaming experience and the experience of others.

Because of that, we have a firm stance against the use of RMT, a policy enforced by our good friend, the Banhamminator!

It doesn't matter what game you play. If you or someone you know is using the services of RMT companies, you run the risk of losing everything you've worked so hard for. Worse still, you could be banhamminated.

The more you know, the more you'll MMO.

Stay safe, Daevas,

Fergus McGreedy's Little Headache

Fergus McGreedy has lived an interesting life. His eye for gold and wealth has taken him both near and far. His treasure chests are filled with riches from Elysea and Asmodae… even the Abyss itself. Over the years, Fergus has become a well-known character in Atreia; after all, how could anyone possibly miss a leprechaun dressed in green suit and top hat, lounging around a chest larger than himself?

Unfortunately, Fergus' fame has also resulted in him attracting attention from less pleasant members of Atreian society. Shugo bankers have long sought to get their hands on his riches, but were only recently able to uncover a relevant loophole in the Elyos and Asmodian tax systems. Following this recent revelation, a horde of Shugo tax collectors have started chasing after Fergus, looking to take the wee man's hard-earned Kinah.

Happy Friday, Daevas!

Daylight saving time begins in the United States this Saturday. Safety officials use that biannual event as a reminder: Change your clocks, and change your smoke alarm batteries. This important reminder is meant to keep you safe. Well, we want to keep your character safe as well, so we're officially putting an MMO spin on this adage.

That's right! At NCSOFT, we want you to change you clock, change your batteries, and change the password for your Aion account. By doing so, you will make giant steps toward keeping you and your virtual personae safe For more tips on how to stay safe in Atreia, visit our PlaySmart Page.
