Spread your wings, Daevas, and visit us at San Diego Comic-Con booth #5345! The Aion team will be rifting over to San Diego, California, on July 22 through July 25. This year the Aion team will be showing off the recent 1.9 update to Aion, as well as giving away a slew of prizes including a limited edition Aion lithograph created in cooperation with DC Comics and a hilarious limited edition Tutty 'n' Beans with a code for an in-game Porgus costume. While you're at the booth, make sure to take a picture in front of our Daeva creation station.
We want to update you about some changes relating to the upcoming server merge. We are setting in place processes to resolve same-name conflicts once the upcoming server merge takes place. In order to provide a fair and just resolution, we are changing the server merge date to July 14, 2010.
So how does this affect my character?
Once the merge occurs, a character with a name that is up to 14 letters long will have a two-letter server abbreviation added to the end of the name. For example, "Fergreedy" on Azphel would become "FergreedyAZ" after the merge.
A character name that is 15 letters long will have a one-letter server abbreviation added to the end of the name. For example, "Misterhappyface" on Azphel would become "MisterhappyfaceA".
In the rare instance that two characters transferring to a merged server share the same name and it is 16 letters long, one of the characters will be renamed. We understand that this is an inconvenience, and regret the need to change anyone's character name. We will keep a close eye on the few characters that this name conflict will affect, and can confidently say the percentage of this occurrence will be very low.
Lastly, we'll be providing all Daevas with a free Character Name Change ticket so that they can later pick a new name.
In preparation of our impending server merges, the Character Name Change and Legion Name Change services have been temporarily disabled and may give you an error message if you attempt purchase them. These services will be brought back once the server merges are completed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!

The Divine Fortress crowns the Abyss much like the golden head of a dandelion flower crowns the plant's tender stalk. The ability to successfully siege and capture it requires organization, dedication, and genuine skill. Almost 10 months have passed since Aion was released in North America and Europe, and since then, you have managed to capture the Divine Fortress nearly 10 times.
Let's have a look back in the rear-view mirror at the first five captures and give credit where credit is due!
24/04/2010: Suthran Server (FR)
We are bringing the Aion servers down at 3:30 a.m. PDT, June 30, 2010 (more) for maintenance.
The maintenance is estimated to take no longer than 3 hours.
Thank you for your patience!

On Sunday, June 20, a force known now as the Elysean Council on the Triniel server organized over 300 Elyos to capture the Divine Fortress, something no other North American server has managed to achieve. We had the chance to speak with the leadership involved in this great accomplishment to get a taste of what went into planning an event of this magnitude.
Congratulations on your successful siege on the Divine Fortress! Can you first introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about your character?
This week we announced that we were going to be merging servers on July 7, 2010. Since our announcement, we've received a number of questions and some feedback about our decision to do so. We've been doing our best to answer these questions in this thread, but many of the questions that we've seen have already been answered in our Server Merge FAQ.
With just under two weeks until our servers are merged, we want to know what your plans are, and that's our Topic of the Week!
