UPDATED 'For War and Glory' AP Event & Server Maintenance 3:30 a.m. PDT, April 21, 2011

Greetings Daevas!

It has come to our attention that the 'For War and Glory' AP event is not working as we originally intended.

In order to resolve the issue, we will be performing an additional server maintenance tomorrow, April 21, 2011, during our regular maintenance window. As compensation we will be extending the 'For War and Glory' AP event an additional week. The event will run until the regular scheduled maintenance on May 4, 2011.

We will be bringing the Aion servers down at 3:30 a.m. PDT, April 21, 2011 (more) for maintenance.

The maintenance is estimated to take no longer than 2 hours.

We thank you for your patience.

'For War and Glory' AP Event

Greetings Daevas!

Starting Wednesday, April 20, 2011 after maintenance, the 'For War and Glory' AP Event will return for one week!

This event focuses on Abyss Points (AP)—specifically, letting you get more AP and keep more. AP loss from PvP encounters in the Abyss and Silentera Canyon will be reduced by 50%, all other areas of the game will deliver the normal amount of AP loss. As well as this reduction in AP loss we will be increasing the amount of AP gain from monsters in the Abyss and Silentera canyon, giving you more AP per kill, this increase does not include monsters inside any of Atreia's dungeons. This event ends at maintenance on April 27, 2011.

Own Your Lineage

We all love to dress up in something new. Show off your grace, power, and style with a new Lineage® II-inspired armor skin!

In celebration of Lineage II 7th Anniversary Celebration, the Aion® store will offer armor skins inspired by Lineage II Dynasty armor. These decorative costumes change the look of your Daeva's armor but not the armor's stats. If you have always wanted to be a Sorcerer in full plate, now is your chance! These costumes can change the appearance of armor without being restricted by armor type.

Greetings, Daevas!

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering paid character transfers! You've been asking for them and we worked our hardest to make the paid character transfer a better experience for our players. We thank you for waiting patiently.
Paid transfers will go live on April 27 for the price of $24.99. We will be releasing more details and an FAQ as we get closer to the start date for transfers.

NA Server Disruption

Greetings Daevas!

Recently the NA Aion servers experienced several unexpected technical difficulties that necessitated server downtime. We realize this creates a disruption to your normal play experience and apologize for the delays you experienced.

Starting today and running until the server maintenance on Wednesday, April 13 2011, special NPCs will be available to deliver a special buff for our players. Asmodian players can find Ronya near the teleporters in all the major Asmodian cities and the soul healer in Gelkmaros. Elyos players can find Laylin near the teleporters in all the major Elysean cities and the soul healer in Inggison.

We will be having an additional maintenance for the Siel server in order to resolve some lingering hardware issues tomorrow morning. We will be bringing the Siel server down at 3:00am PDT, April 8 2011 to resolve those issues. We anticipate the downtime tomorrow morning to be four hours or less for Siel.

Due to the extended downtime experienced today and planned for tomorrow, those players who are on Siel will receive two major ancient crowns attached to their survey. The surveys will also run until the maintenance on Wednesday, April 13 2011.

We appreciate your patience during these service disruptions.

Eye on Community - March

Eye on Community
Greetings, Daevas!

In this month's in Eye on Community, we bring you an interview with Aion Producer Sean Neil and Aion Brand Manager Dominic Wai, we delve again into trends in Trade Broker pricing in our segment on the Atreian Stock Market, and we take a closer look at what crafters focus on in the Master Craft segment. We also give you a player's perspective of the PvP Daevadome live event expressed through screenshots.

March saw the Fortune Fayre visit Atreia and was also host to our A Call for Spies and Soldiers! and Behind Enemy Lines events. Recently we also ran the Welcome Back—Reactivation Celebration, in which we allowed inactive players to take another look at Aion in its current state to see all the great updates and improvements that have been made since its Western release.

We're also looking forward to April, as everyone knows that April 1 will hold some surprises.

Have fun, and see you in game!
