“How do Clerics earn Abyss Points?”
Abyss Points, in general, are rewarded based in the damage dealt by a whole group. (A group being, at maximum, six characters.) A Cleric will not gain any Abyss Points if he plays on his own and heals the members of a different group, but he will gain the same number of Abyss Points as his fellow group members receive when they fight other players or groups. He also gains the same amount of Abyss Points as anyone else would when dealing damage and successfully defeating opponents in one-on-one situations.
The Medals distributed during fortress sieges are assigned based on Abyss Point ranking. One might rephrase the original question as: “How do Clerics earn Medals?” Medals can be used to buy items in the Abyss and are therefore quite valuable. Gold and Silver Medal rewards are given out to the top 100 players of a siege based on the amount of Abyss Points those players gained.
It’s essential for everyone to be able to participate in Abyss sieges and other more or less voluntary brawls. While there is always room to improve any game system, we feel that the current Abyss Point and Medal system goes a long way to compensate players for their respective efforts. In Aion, we always try to encourage what we feel is the foundation of MMO gaming: playing with friends and grouping.
With the latest Aion patch, patch 1.5.1, are adding Medal rewards to Legions that successfully defend a fortress throughout a siege. The Legion’s Brigade General will distribute these to the Legion’s members, including Clerics. Not only will this allow Legions to more independently distribute rewards according to what contributions they feel were made, but we also hope this change will motivate Legions to take greater care in defending their fortresses.

As midnight struck last Friday, October 30, members of the [ENG]Kalil Legion “Haven” gathered together, popped on their Harvest Festival pumpkin helmets, and danced until sundown in celebration of Halloween. You will definitely want to catch their video, but make sure to have a look at the screenshots, as well.
GoDSouL organizes PvP contest on [ENG]Spatalos
This English/French Legion has taken it upon itself to arrange a multi-Legion PvP tournament. The event starts on November 9 and runs until November 14. We do not endorse or support this event, but we do think it’s a cool thing they’re doing that is worth having a look at! GoDSouL is currently ranked 38 on [ENG]Spatalos.

So what happens when Brigade is offline? The distribute based on what the legion tells them when they return?

Cleric issues aside this seems like a bad way of doing rewards. First only the conquering legion gets them (till next patch) and then it only goes to leader to distribute. Why not just distribute the same way kinah is distributed after siege?

Even folks who aren't that far along are going to wonder why they are bothering??? I like the game, but if this is how it ends I'm not sure why I should bother spending to time (and money) to get there!

This is the worst idea i've see for the Defense reward fix.... Your basically giving all the medals to one legion and yeah right like there gonna distribute them fairly... Just going to get ganked for there legion even when defense is a server wide effort... Se

So only people with high end PC's will get medals. Those of us who lag to 1 FPS and can't do anything will never get them unless we buy a new computer. So $700+ to get medals?

wow i just read what people r posting.. stop QQing.. the game is fine.. none of u have reached end game yet LOL.. it cant be balanced at lvl 1 then lvl 20 then lvl 25 then lvl 30 seriously, get a clue.and AION has been out for a long long time in other contries

Do moar about the Bots!!! I am tired of getting my quest mobs taken by some Bot that is 5 levels higher than me and my mob. I see them everywhere I go. Either solo or they're running around in a group. I.E. Gladiator and Chanter stealing everyone's mobs. I h

This game is basically operating now on a system of polar opposites... Botting is encouraged and rewarded. Players are penalized and limited by playing fairly. What a turd this game has become. It had potential. Up is down, and down is up, in Aion!

my 2 cents on an easy fix is if a person (botter) gets flagged by say 100 different ppl then his acct is suspended for x amt of days after x amt of offenses they are banned done deal :0),or u can make it a lil funner by after 10 flagging them pvp for same
